Board games are among humanity’s oldest cultural objects, with a history stretching back thousands of years. Across civilisations, they have served as tools for strategy, storytelling, learning and social exchange. Their appeal lies in their ability to bring people together. Through conversation, negotiation, rivalry and laughter, a simple table becomes a shared experience. In a world shaped by speed and distraction, they offer a slower, more attentive way of spending time.

Drawn from the extensive collection of Eugene Lim, who has spent a lifetime assembling several thousand titles, we present a curated selection ranging from the familiar to the unexpected, including editions inspired by film, personality and popular culture, on display from 11 June 2026.

Five titles have been shortlisted for the evening for their accessibility and playing time: Bob Ross: Art of Chill, Condottiere, Pan Am, The Godfather: Corleone’s Empire and Ticket to Ride.
