Kungyokudo Incense - Hanazono Sara Bloom
Japanese incense has been used to purify, cleanse, and unwind for other a thousand years. During this time it has come to be seen as one of the highest quality incense varieties in the world.
In 1594, Riemon Ouno opened Kungyokudo directly across from the Hongwanji Temple in Kyoto to provide incense and medicine to the monks of the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha Buddhist school. The incense house is currently led by his 22nd-generation descendant, Kazuo Ouno, and his wife, Chihaya Ouno.
Kungyokudo is the oldest incense producer in Japan.
Hanazono Sara Bloom - Blooming in the morning and falling in the evening, Sara admires the transience. A gentle and pure scent of flower color that disappears in the wind.
