Vintage Tendo Mokko Foam Chair
Established in 1940 in Yamagata prefecture, Tendo Mokko is known for keeping a high quality in the mass production of furniture.
An important collaborator in their formative years was Isamu Kenmochi who passed in 1971. There is not much information out there as to when this was manufactured but based on our understanding of Tendo Mokko pieces, its design takes cues from his Kashiwado chair from 1961. Two versions of the form chair was produced with this 4 legged version being a more unique design.
Original upholstery has been kept. Please reach out to get a quote if you wish to have this reupholstered but we do advice otherwise.
